Website redesign for New Zealand businesses: from outdated to well-planned.
Repagevia redesigns existing websites for New Zealand businesses: clearer pages, layouts that work on phones, and a migration plan that protects what your old site already earns in search.
The illustration compares a dated builder website with a redesigned version. Both are fictional.

Your website is often the first impression a customer gets
People judge a business by the site they land on, often on a phone and in a hurry. A dated layout, a buried phone number or a page that loads slowly can send them to the next result before they read a word.
A redesign fixes the parts that get in the way while keeping the content, links and search history your old site has built up. Read the signs your website needs a redesign before deciding.

A written plan, paid for as Stage 2: page list, redirect map, priorities and dates.
Design
Page designs you review and approve before any build work.
Build
We build, test on real devices and check every redirect on staging.
Launch
Go live, then check search and enquiries at two and six weeks.
The website redesign planner
Answer sixteen short questions about your current site and goals, then download a plain text brief. It runs in your browser and sends nothing to us.
- Define your goals
- Audit your current site
- List the pages to keep
- Note what must not break
A plan you can check line by line
The plan is the first paid deliverable, produced after you accept the fixed quote and pay the deposit.
- A page list: keep, merge, rewrite or retire
- A redirect map for every changed address
- Mobile layouts for your key pages
- Accessibility checks against WCAG 2.2
- A baseline to compare after launch
- Dates for each remaining stage
How long does a website redesign take?
It depends on the number of pages and how much content needs rewriting. A small brochure site often takes a few weeks from approved plan to launch, while a larger site or an online store takes longer. The Stage 2 plan sets out the stages and dates before any build work starts.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I redesign?
Any redesign that changes page addresses carries some risk, and short-term movement after launch is normal. We reduce the risk by mapping every changed address to its closest new page, using permanent server redirects and checking them on a staging copy before launch.
Can you keep my current content?
Yes. We start with an audit of every page and sort it into keep, merge, rewrite or retire. Pages that already bring in visitors are kept, and their wording is only changed where it is out of date or unclear.
Do I need a new domain name?
No. Most redesigns keep the same domain, which is the simplest option for search engines and for customers who already know your address. If you do want to change domains, we plan that move separately.
How much does a redesign cost?
Every quote is fixed and written in NZD after we have reviewed your current site. Our pricing page explains what goes into a quote, and the cost guide shows the ranges New Zealand web firms publish.
Will the new site be easier to update?
That is one of the goals we agree at the start. We set up the content management system so your team can edit text, swap images and add pages, and we hand over short written instructions at launch.
